Our Story

Why we started Semliner Xpress Logistics

Semliner Xpress Logistics was founded by a small team of Ugandan logistics professionals who had spent years inside the customs and freight industry — and had seen firsthand how much of the difficulty importers face is not the cargo itself, but the coordination around it.

Documentation errors that could have been caught in the first five minutes. Valuation queries that dragged on for weeks. Trucks held at the border because one paper was wrong. Clients who had no idea where their cargo actually was until it appeared — or didn't.

We built Semliner Xpress around the idea that if a client has to chase us for updates, we have already failed at our job. Every consignment we handle is assigned to a person, and every stage of the process — from documentation review to final delivery — has a clear owner.

Today we clear cargo at the Port of Mombasa, the Port of Dar es Salaam, Entebbe International Airport, and the main Uganda border crossings. We coordinate inland transport across Uganda and onward to Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, and Eastern DRC. And we do it with the same discipline that built the company: get the details right, communicate clearly, deliver what we promised.
